Whisenhunt® model electric reels are the perfect marriage of technology and sport. They combine a quiet 12 or 24-volt electric motor and a manual handle override system with a classic Penn reel. The result is an extremely versatile power reel, and the world's only electric reel with manual override. When you tire from the fight, just press the convenient switch and let the electric motor take over.

All components are rust and corrosion-resistant, with a rugged steel gear and chain drive. To return to manual control, simply turn the handle. The transition from manual control to power andback ia smooth and seamless.

The entire unit is compact and light weight. The reels function exactly like manual ones, and the Whisenhunt® electric drive won't interfere with normal operations. You get the incredible stopping power of Penn star drag systems, with the automatic line handling of a Whisenhunt® electric reel. The hardware is available in two versions: in kit form, to retrofit your Penn reel, and as a complete, ready-to-fish unit, complete with a Penn reel.

All Whisenhunt® model electric reels and kits are backed by a comprehensive one-year warranty. If one of our units malfunctions in normal use, the manufacturer will replace the entire unit.
